Blue Monday


Coming in to Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen) at the end of an
incredible journey.  This is about the point in the
year when the sun begins to set and the residents of this
northernmost Norwegian town enjoy the
"blue hour" 24/7 until the sun disappears altogether,
to reappear sometime in March.

    Beautiful light, but difficult to imagine not seeing the sun for so long!

    Good Morning Alexa, A gorgeous photo for Blue Monday. The water is so blue as the boat is entering the harbor. Our days are very short in the winter but I can't imagine no light. I think I would nap my days away. Smile.
